BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 11TH 2010 (CUOPM) – Less than three weeks after receiving a renewed mandate from 60 percent of the electorate on St. Kitts, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will meet with nationals in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday night.
The St. Kitts and Nevis leader will be in Boston to give the keynote address at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Second Caribbean Students’ Conference on the morning of Saturday 13th February.
After several other engagements during the day, Prime Minister Douglas will meet with nationals of the twin-island Federation at the Faith Christian Church located at 301 Harvard Street, Dorchester, Massachusetts, 02124. The meeting begins at 6 P.M.
Nationals will get the opportunity to hear first-hand from Prime Minister Douglas on several issues including the recent general elections in which he lead his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Parry to a consecutive fourth term in office, the impact of the international economic and financial crisis on the Federation, the challenges faced as well as the achievements in several sectors – tourism, healthcare, public utilities, land acquisition, education, entrepreneurial opportunities, agriculture, housing, manufacturing, sports, culture and social development.
